1.9 Has Snowmen Mob!

Notch has just released an image of a new mob he has made, a snowman. He has said that wherever it walks it leaves behind snow, it's craftable and also attacks enemies with snowballs (dealing no damage).
He has not yet said what it will cost to craft it but it will probably consist of snow balls...

You can check it out here in my video.

It looks like 1.9 is turning out to be another content heavy update, keep your eyes peeled for more news!

1.9 New Nether Content!

Jeb recently uploaded an image of the Nether, so it looks like the Nether is getting some work done. They have said themselves they would like to add more content to it, hopefully it will be worth going there this time around!
The structure you can see is made out of a new texture it seems like, most likely nether brick?

Random City Generator

Mace creates a regular Minecraft world with a randomly generated city at the spawn point.
Like this:

Mace requires version 4 of the Microsoft .NET Framework. The framework is used by lots of other Minecraft tools, so you might have it already.

Thanks to Ghostdancer, it is now possible to include NPCs in Mace! Please visit his Mobs for Mace thread to read all about it and download the necessary files. Please ask any questions in that thread.

More information about Mace and the future plans can be found at the Mace project site, which includes answers to Frequently Asked Questions and the complete changelog for all versions.

Thank you to jaquadro for creating the Substrate library, which Mace uses for all the world editing.

Minecraft 1.8.1 Update?

A new update got released this morning. Notch posted on his twitter that he had fixed a bug for shift clicking. I don't think this was worth a whole update, however bug fixes are 'goooood' in my books!

MCModgen - MAKE MINECRAFT MODS WITH NO CODING!

Information

Minecraft Mod Generator (McModGen) is the first (as far as I know) web GUI for creating minecraft mods without making the user do any coding. This is made to help people learn how to make mods without doing every single thing for the person. It can also be used by people who already know how to mod but want to make the basic blocks and items a lot faster. Whatever your reason, McModGen can help you while making a mod.

In order to compile your projects after you download you will need to get Minecraft Coder Pack from ocean labs. Get the latest version and it should work with McModGen.

Current Version: 0.3.1

Current Features

- Blocks
- Recipes
- Create tool sets
- Add blocks to world generation
- Exporting of entire project and single .java files
- Themes
